Amei para me amar (I Loved to Love Myself) is a deeply personal poetry collection by emerging Mozambican poet Nyeleti, the pen name of Neide Vicente Malevo. At just 25 years old, Nyeleti has created a work that gives voice to silenced women while reflecting on love in all its dimensions — self-love, romantic love, and patriotic love for her homeland.
About the Author
Nyeleti hails from Inhambane Province, Mozambique, and is the coordinator of the literary project “Um Amigo Mais um Livro” (One More Friend, One More Book). Her poetry explores themes of feminine identity, social justice, and personal transformation.
